Trinidadian Beach
A 3d beach environment that was based on beaches from my home country of Trinidad and Tobago
For this project, everything besides the sand, mountains, trees, birds and characters were modeled using Maya 2024. Through modular building and material instances, I was able to use multiple of the same assets around the scene to greater enhance the feel.
This project was an experiement in Virtual Production and making something that would be ready to be used on an XR Stage.

This was the original blockout that I created in Unreal, using simple shapes for the objects that would be modeled. Originally there were going to be rocks, but after looking back at the references, those beaches didn't have the rocks near the shoreline.
