A Cave of the Trinidadian Folklore Creature Papa Bois
I was tasked with creating a room for a character of my choice, that has never been seen before. I chose a folklore character from my country of Trinidad called Papa Bois, who is the protector of the forest. For the theme I chose to make it inside a cave, where it looks normal at first but the more you look the darker it gets. You start off by seeing a glowing obelisk and some instruments around the cave. As you look closer, you being to notice that there are glowing and muddy handprints on those drums and that there are half eaten rotting fruits all over the floor. The final detail of interest is that you see human bones laid around the cave, as if they are there as trophies.
This room was created using AutoDesk Maya for modeling, Adobe Substance Painter and Photoshop for texturing and final Unreal 5.2 for the rendering of the video.
